  1. A good nights sleep results in increased energy and productivity, improved health and a better mood.

    Here are our top tips for a better night's sleep:

     

    • Have a regular sleep pattern, try to go to bed and get up at the same time every day, even at the weekend!

    • Wind down and relax. If you have any worries try writing them down before you go to bed in order to help switch off.

    • Do not use phones and tablets whilst in your bed, catch up with your emails and social media at least an hour before bedtime.

    • Cut down on coffee in the afternoon, caffeine can stay elevated in the blood for 6-8 hours, therefore drinking large amounts of coffee after 2pm is not recommended.

    • Exercise regularly but not right before bedtime. Regular exercise during day time hours is one of the best ways to ensure a good nights sleep.

    • Make sure your bedroom is comfortable it should be quiet and dark with clean bedding and a controlled temperature.
